Agreement to Launch the App in Spanish

TV Azteca, exclusive commercial partner of Tubi in Mexico



Tubi, the world’s largest free audiovisual content streaming distributor, announces it will expand operations to Mexico at the end of this year in partnership with TV Azteca.

As part of the agreement, TV Azteca will be Tubi’s exclusive advertiser in Mexico and will promote the service amongst its audiences through its online broadcasts and platforms. In addition, some of TV Azteca’s most popular programs will be available completely free for Tubi customers, including Exatlón, Masterchef, and Lo que la gente cuenta(What People Say).

“We’re happy to be collaborating with a world-class partner, and, together with TV Azteca, launching a new free broadcast site for some of Mexico’s most famous TV franchises,” said Tubi CEO Farhad Massoudi. “Our expansion in Latin America is just getting started and we hope to announce additional territories in the future,” he added.

In September 2019, Tubi announced that its customers had watched more than 132 million hours of content, a 40% jump since May, and that the service will be launched in the United Kingdom in 2020. In addition to Hisense television sets, Tubi is available on Android and iOS mobile devices, Amazon Echo Show, Google Nest, Hub Max, Comcast Xfinity X1, and Cox Contour, plus OTT platforms like Amazon Fire TV, Vizio TV, Sony TV, Samsung TV, Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, Android TV, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Consumers can also watch Tubi content on its internet site at www.tubi.tv .
