Grupo Salinas Stands Out for its Personal Data Protection

Ten Grupo Salinas fcompanies have once again been certified for their personal data security systems by Normalization and Certification (NYCE), recognized by the National Institute for Transparency, Access to Information and Personal Data Protection (INAI).

Normalization and Certification certified that Grupo Elektra, Banco Azteca, Afore Azteca, Seguros Azteca, Italika, Intra Mexicana, Tiendas Neto, Punto Casa de Bolsa, Fulfilment, and Totalsec have adopted best practices in the acquisition, use, storage, dissemination, and safe erasure of personal data in their different stages of operation.

NYCE stated that these companies fulfill their commitment to their clients, users, and associates’ right to informational self-determination through Grupo Salinas’ Personal Data Department. They achieve this by implementing clear, simple, transparent processes to provide access, rectification, cancelation, and opposition in handling everyone’s personal data.

With this certification, Grupo Salinas reiterates its commitment to protecting personal data, making it the first Mexican multi-company group to comply with the highest standards in the field, both nationally and internationally.
