Joint Activities to Create Inclusive Prosperity

Grupo Salinas and the UNAM Sign a Cooperation Agreement

Grupo Salinas and the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), signed a cooperation agreement in a recent exciting ceremony. The agreement stipulates that the UNAM School of Accounting and Business Administration and Grupo Salinas’ Kybernus program will carry out joint activities in areas of common interest to create inclusive prosperity.

Grupo Salinas Chairman of the board Ricardo Salinas and UNAM President Enrique Luis Graue Wiechers were the witnesses of honor to the signing of this agreement, centered on four guidelines:

Linking up and strengthening entrepreneurial activities: to support entrepreneurs’ initiatives and create new companies to deal with society’s needs, always in line with gender equality and sustainability public policies as axes for development.

The dissemination of the importance of companies in creating prosperity: the partners will develop content and open up spaces in different media to position entrepreneurial culture in our country. This will make it possible to encourage the development of more and better Mexican companies.

Advancing human capital training programs: this implies considering the School of Accounting and Business Administration as a possible external consultant for Grupo Salinas leadership, entrepreneurialism, training, organizational culture, and high performance programs.

Financing private sector programs: the agreement stipulates that the parties will jointly design and implement a plan to accelerate start-ups, created inside and outside the UNAM. They will be technically and financially evaluated to guarantee their staying power and that of the entrepreneurs, who will be subject to credit for developing and realizing the potential of their ideas.

This agreement is part of the initiatives of Kybernus, a Grupo Salinas program to create social value, which seeks to build a leadership culture in Mexico based on values, in coordination with public, private, and social organizations that share this objective.
